While the reqion is not specific, i believe it could be at some South or Southwest part of China. The "Yao" are in no way related to Hakaa people from any part of the world. They arfe an Ethnic group by themselves. The Hakka belongs to the "Han" people.

Did not specify whether it is in Guandong Province? If it is, then quite a few Singaporean & Malaysian Hakka's root (origin) is from this place
