I'll never forget how happy I was when I saw my missus walking down the aisle towards me.

with all fairness, are you really expecting supermarket work to be a dynamic career move?

However IMO a lot of the problems with asda are due to their style of management. they have an exceptionally high turnover of managers with the result that nobody is there long enough to make any kind of worthwhile difference or build a relationship with their staff. from what I have seen they don't want independant thinkers, only Yes men.

I worked for Asda's years ago doing night shift shelve replenishment, I actually liked this lol, as I could literally sleep whilst working, my brain was in lock down all night and would awaken in the morning with money in my bank.

I never went to work expecting it to be a happy a fair, I pretty much just got on with the job, anyway I ended up quitting because the people I worked with were pretty much arsehole's and they made it unworkable as I couldn't listen to their shit any more.

when i lived in england i got a job there. being from the states, i figured it would be like a regular supermarket job. it fucking sucked. the manager called me "the yank" over and over again. i didnt mind my flatmates saying it, but hearing form an old man was just annoying
