what a shame, i didnt know she died. i remember seeing her at the Roxy in hollywood once..after she finished she came and we all partied,jim dandy was there and we all had a good time until they closed and kicked us out...my cousin and i left but i'm sure the party went on long into the morning. RIP Ruby. you were great

Opened up for Ruby Starr back in the seventies!! When she walked out on the stage with that body suit on I just about Died!!!!!!!

I appreciate your feelings. I have had luck to place my hands on both Jim Dandy and Ruby Starr back in the day. They were both the nicest people. I think Ruby was so underrated, she was a Janis waiting to explode, but it never happened. The lucky few who knew her... really what can you say?

As far as i know she had an inoperable brain tumour..
But anyhow completly fantastic.
Thank you soo much...sharing this with her family and Toledo friends and fans.
I was blessed to have known her since we were kids and years later, she'd invite me to sing back ups with her...RIP honey...XO
