@ulrek54321, sorry , i was too quich with the fingers with the comment. it should be directed at olfablade and klesmer. i currently work at mcdonnell douglas/boeing
long beach ca.have been for 25 years and i have flown on the md-80, md-90,
dc-10 and the md-11. i have yet to fly in the c-17 which i currently work on.
the md 11 is not only larger internally but is longer by 20 feet. just go to the
boeing website or look it up in yahoo. the dc-10,md-11, are mcdonnell douglas not boeing

i work for mcdonnell douglas and worked 2 years as a structure mechanic on the MD-11. it is in fact 20 feet longer than the dc-10-40.i worked on both and currently work on the c-17. ulrek54321 your dad is dead wrong about the dc-10 and md-11 being identical in length. the dc-10 came in 4 barrel sections and the md-11 has SIX barrel sections. the engines are upgraded, i have worked on md-80,md-90,
dc-10, kc-10, and currently the c-17.

@Olfablade As per the Boeing website, the MD-11 is 18-20 feet longer than the DC-10, depending on engine options. Argument over.
