@srogiful Just do the shoulder walk to get more space. If you are practicing with big dudes there is no need to fully lock the triangle because they are so big. Lock as tight as you can and then squeeze.

The choke would work, BUT the victims right arm should cross over and it wil enhance the choke. Furthermore, you will have to have quite long legs to snap on a triangle directely from the front. Angle it to the side, and it wil be much easier to lock it up.
