Now in its fifth generation the Nissan Altima continues to add sparks of excitement to a segment dominated by competent but often dull entries. Alongside top selling luminaries like the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry the Altima stands as an intriguing alternative.

  • I think the nissan altima doesn't need a redesign... Thumbs up if you agree! :)

  • I replaced my '89 Altima with a'10 Altima Hybrid. For the type of driving I do, I can go 6-8 weeks without visiting the gas station. Elegant interior, comfortable ride. I'm a large person - MUCH better fit than Camry or Accord, much more comfortable to drive than the Prius.

  • @joewillgo true. Unless you're hauling around passengers all the time, then theres not really a need for the power seat :p

  • Nissan uses Toyota's licensed Hybrid technology for their Altima hybrid. But also Nissan recommends using premium fuel for their cars too. Fuel prices are already high enough why would we want to use premium fuel. Nissans are not bad vehicles but for fuel types I would go with something else.

  • @hehh543 True, but Altima should have it as an OPTION at least. It's impossible to get a powered passenger seat :(

  • @joewillgo I kinda agree with you on the LED Tailights, that would look sharp! I still like the CVT though. And I agree about the power adjustable passenger seat. But then again, it's not an Accord, with an Accord, to get bluetooth, you have to get a Navi. On the altima, you dont!

  • Don't the CVT brake easy?

  • the engine on the 2007-present Nissan Altima

    Engine

    2.5 L QR25DE I4 175 hp (130 kW) 2.5 / 2.5 S

    3.5 L VQ35DE V6 270 hp (201 kW) SR

  • @hehh543 I'm sorry, but I DO NOT AGREE! They should really get LED Tail Lights for one thing, and they need to DELETE the CVT Transmission! As CVT's are just extremely annoying! & for a topped out trim, you should be able to get power adjustable passenger seats! However, the Alitima is a very nice car, but it is just DYEING for some of those features!!!!!!

  • The design still looks good after 6 model years. I own a '07 2.5 S that I just bought earlier this year & it's an impressive car overall. Good power & fuel economy, comfortable ride, sporty handling & a roomy interior. It's a huge upgrade from my previous car which was a '06 Toyota Corolla S. I needed a bigger car with more legroom. I'm over 6ft tall.

  • @xelxtravieso619x The sonata quality sucks. Korea = China. Nissan - COOL!!!
