  • Your right he should have been done soon (just like he says in the clip.) That's why I asked him to do it. I bought this goat but wanted everything done to her that should have been done and taped it so I would know just what and how to do it.

I am very happy with the goat and glad I bought these two from them. She is a great milker (once I figured out how to milk..lol..)

  • @picklemountain1972 every week?????? WOW most people do it once or twice per YEAR i do it every 6 months and i never get hoof rot

  • i agree.... i've been searching to find a clear video that actually shows what the person is doing... very good job!!!

  • If your worried about hoof rot, get Pat Coleby's book, Natural Goat Care. It has all the information you need to know about goats, and more.

  • THATS JUST WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE THANKS, I HAVE A GOAT THAT DOES TRICKS.ITS ON U TUBE AT jerryleefarmer check it out

  • looks painful but its not lol

  • nice clear video, THANKS for posting!! I am still new to hoof trimming, and this video is great

  • I know this is an "old" video, but I'm glad somebody put it on here. We've only had goats for about 2 mths, dairy also, just kidded last one out yesterday. I trim ours about once a week, cause I'm paranoid of hoof rot...we have very clay/dirty pasture. Never seen hooves that long before!

  • You'll notice that they need to be trimmed much more often if they are fed grain rather than browse or hay. More grain = more kerotin

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I just got my first goat last weekend, and her hooves are deplorable. No matter how much i read, its always better to see it being done before undertaking this myself.
