We all need to take responsibility, support others and at least listen to new ideas and start giving things a try. What we're doing now isn't working. Waiting around for the Second Coming of Christ to turn it all into rainbows and unicorns isn't helpful. Horrible things will continue to happen on a much larger scale than they would if we all decided to work together and turn atrocities into rare occurrances rather than the norm. Time to man up.
