I like the guitar a lot; the only problem is the distortion on the voice (you must have been too close to the microphone) - but your voice and passion in singing it are great! I like the "bathrobe touch" myself!!

I'm only familiar w/ the Leslie Duncan version, but when you pluck the bass strings, the first two chords seem a little off (compared to her version) in this video. I think she might fret the B string on the second fret.

hi there and thanks, guitar is tuned in standard concert pitch,and ive capoed the second fret to suit my own voice, the original is also capoed on the second fret, kind regards,and best wishes

Thats very nice of you,music is such a powerfull emotion, to our senses,So many sweet memories for me as a young man in this song, listen to Elton John sing the original with Leslie Duncan who wrote the song, its on his album Tumbleweed Connection, its really quite beautifull!!.Thanks again kind regards Glenn, sorry about the distortion on the sound, its an ongoing problem with my webcam recordings im afraid,i'll do it again when i sort it out,!

Thank you all, for your very kind comments, I remember being very Impressed and... yes. affected by this song as a young man,in the early 70,s a song ive remembered all my life..and listed to many times over the years, i always loved the sound of waves breaking on the beach and childrens laughter in the origional song,if youve never heard it buy Elton Johns
