Alter Bridge has parted ways with Wind-Up Records, due to what the band says was pressure to re-form creed. Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips were the instrument section for Creed, but parted ways with singer Scott Stapp, saying they could no longer work with Stapp.

The band recruited Mayfield Four singer Myles Kennedy and formed Alter Bridge to release the album One Day Remains, but Wind-Up has pressured the band to reunite with Stapp. In response the band has parted ways with the label. In an interview conducted last year, Tremonti told us they want people to know Creed is in the past.

In the meantime, Alter Bridge's One Day Remains has gone gold for sales of 500,000 copies...

  • The reason Wind-Up was giving them pressure to reform Creed was money. It's not that they didn't like or have faith in them but Wind Up is an Indie label and Creed was making them Major label money. I don't blame them really. That said I love Alter Bridge and im glad they stuck with their guns

  • Met Mark at Vans skatepark his sons were at skatecamp with me!!:)

  • Creed was good, scott stapp was a selfish prick, alter bridge is better, myles kennedys voice is way better and hes unselfish. Scott stapp is horrible live

  • Alter bridge and creed arent the same bands with different singers, if you say thqt then you arent a true fan of either of them. AB is simply better in every way, creed used to be my favorite band, thanks to my own prison, but They used like 25 percent of their talent. AB they use 90%

  • I must also add that Alter Bridge and Creed are kinda the same band. The only difference is Myles Kennedy and Scott Stapp. You just gotta chose which side of the fence you fall on. I love Scott Stapp don't get me wrong but I love Myles Kennedy more! That man is the shit when it comes to singing live, in fact I'd rather listen to the live recordings of Alter Bridge then the studio recordings...you really get a better taste of Myles vocal range!

  • @ThePepsiJoe How can a Grammy win determine who's better? Sure, it shows what a panel of peers think but it doesn't reflect the opinion of the fans because they have no say in the Grammy process. The fans do however have a say when it comes to buying the albums and it then goes to show that record sales determine which band is better because in the end it's really about how the fans feel right? The fans buy the tickets, cram into the venues, buy the cd's, and scream along to every single song.

  • alter bridge = heavy metal

    creed = hard rock

    so stop comparing them

  • @ThePepsiJoe Different musical times bro, Creed came off the back of grunge and had massive commercial success because of that. Alter Bridge are fantastic but rocking in a new decade of music lovers.

  • Creed é melhor cm Scott .... do q esse merda aiiiiiiii... que nem se ouve falar

  • Some people say Alter Bridge is better than Creed going platinum doesn't mean anything. All I say is let me know when Alter Bridge wins a grammy. Creed won why isn't Alter Bridge ever there.
