BTW, the correct title is "When I HAD Your Love."

One of my favorite Marvin Gaye tunes and a staple on my IPod. Why it was only a B-side and wasn't included in an album at the time will always be a mystery to me.

The oriental feel is a play on 'The King and I', YUL BRYNER'S movie and another example of the fantastic creativity at Motown during this period. My fave MARVIN 60s single, just beautiful.

In 1966 I went into the record shop to buy "Ain't that Perculiar", they didn't have it but they did have his new one "One more Heartache". I went in the booth to listen and mistakenly they put on the 'B' side! I'll take it! What a double header that turned out to be!

I'm a massive fan of Marvin and can't believe I only heard this amazing song about a week ago. The melody is beautiful and Marvin's voice is like pure silk. I especially love the piano riff..its got a nice oriental feel to it. Thaks for posting :)
