@BradleyThomas312 Sure, half an Ultra isn't as powerful as a full Ultra. It's a concept which I first seen in Samurai Shodown with their Rage meter.

But rewarding the loser (the guy who's about to die) incredible power isn't skill.

they wanted to allow for EX moves, and a switchable super-art thingy (ultras).

Super meter is really for supers at all - it's for EX moves. Super is just an option you can go for if you haven't been burning meter enough.

Further, damage on ultras is variable - it depends on how much damage you've taken. if you land an ultra right after you get it, it isn't going to do that much damage compared to a super.

@whostolecarlosrox SF4 is an unbalanced game because of its sappy ultra system and slow super meter.

It just makes no sense, aren't ultras suppose to be stronger than supers? Then why have the ability to preform it TWICE without effecting the super meter? It's so overpowered and broken.

Round 1: Super's empty.

Round 2: Super's HALF FULL while realizing how fast the Ultra fills up.

Round 3: Super's full, now it's possible to fuse both the super and the ultra for RIDICULOUS OVERPOWERED DAMAGE.
