If you watched her stories on MTV and her special on E she was stuggling, dealt with a drug addicted father who almost killed her mother and burned their house down & other crazy stuff. In a sense if you can even afford to live in NY you make decent money compared to other states, when she moved to her apartment had no furniture all kinds of hardships.

According to wiki..yes i know its unreliable..but she went to laguardia....people who goes to laguardia are definetly not struggling there are a lot of famous people who graduated there...danm shoulda went there instead of flhs. anyways...she's hot though. really pretty too.

@Filip3anut I agree somewhat. All I'm saying is Nicki is what's hot now. And I think she has shown she is hip hop And she doesn't make as many refrences to drugs sex or alcohol even compared to Biggie and Tupac. I think Nicki has proven herself worthy as the Queen of Hip Hop which she has already been dubbed as one by people like Rolling Stones and others. And actually Nicki came from Jamaica Queens NY and struggled and worked hard to be where she is today.

@outofthisworldgurl from those with soul and love for music, putting effort in the lyrics and the sound like louis armstrong and others from the harlem renaissance, chuck berry and his impact in rock and roll, the temptations and their impact in r&b along with Michael jackson (even though i'm not a fan of him) Run DMC w/ hip hop...now we have to deal with bullshit music about sex, drugs and money instead of love and beauty. I feel bad for the future generation because they missed out in music.

@truebeautyforever no, it happend way before ache breakie miraj came along. Drake, lil wayne all these rappers who rap about gang related shit even though some of them are probably from beverly hills and rapping about drugs and sex is when hip hop died, at least tupac , nwa, biggie lived as gangsters they were able to rap about their experience instead of searching "gangster" on wikipedia. hip hop of the 90s and 80s was the real hip hop the 2000s killed it, especially w/ the techno sounds today
