alisterhrae You raise a very important point, one that's been a dilemma since the beginning of time. Do we look the other way when someone talented behaves unethically? It seems we usually do, and in so doing, we continue to give the message that talented people (or powerful people) can get away with anything.

it's not exactly private to falsely accuse someone of physical and verbal abuse! ...his career is impacted in a major way. She later admitted under oath no such abuse took place, but won't do so publicly. I imagine that's what the previous poster meant by 'doing the correct thing'. Falsely accusing someone of a crime (whether it's made up by one's lawyers purely for monetary gain or as leverage) is a BIG deal and can ruin a person's life. I won't buy her albums either at this point.

A great singer found and brought to the spotlight by William Galison, who is now being shafted by Madeleine, why? She needs to sort herself out. Don't buy her records till she does the correct thing.
