I pretty much hate doing zen too, which has resulted in me doing it on and off for the past couple of years. But in your latest book you mentioned that you used too have a lot of lucid dreams and I remember reading about that in your 1st book, so do you think they were brought about as a side effect of doing zen? If so then that would be a pretty strong incentive to do zen regularly 'cause if it takes years to notice any change, at least I can have a ton of cool lucid dreams in the meantime.
