You can get Scalextric 917s and 512s? Why wasn't I told? Where! I want!
-
If you knew anything about Le Mans, the year 1969 was the last year the drivers ran across the track and jumped into the cars.
Jacky Ickx walked across the track in protest because of lack of safety and John Wolfe was killed on the first lap in one of the new Porsche.

Lame - at the beginning you didn't have little scale race car drivers sprinting across the track to get in their cars! It's LeMans, baby!

Say Nakornping, it seems you live in Thailand. I live in Japan now though I'm English and never had a Scalextric set when I was there, mine was an Airfix and there were good and bad things about it. I don't have space for a set here now, but I was wondering, do you know if Scalextric would be avalable here in Japan?

There is at least one distributor in Japan, but you can get what you want via Ebay (for example).

I'd love to but I don't have the space I'm afraid, you're so lucky to have the space for your layout. I s'pose I could just buy cars for some day in the future when I leave here. But also unfortunately my job doesn't pay enough to spend on things that aren's absolutely necessary.

Well, you know, I 've got a small house, the layout stands in my garage, and my real car sleeps outside. You can also find very good deals on Ebay, flea markets, car boots sales... but you have to make choices and be patient.

lmao, good job, how did you mount the in-car camera? ha!

I use a Scalextric lorry chassis, without cabin, the camera is fixed with a small electric wire.
