Dream FM Leeds documentary part 1 of 2

A short programme about Dream FM from Leeds telling the story of its origins and its intentions to become a legal station, shown on ITV in 1995. Shortly after this programme was aired Dream FM switched off to begin the legal application process, sadly that was the last anyone ever heard from Dream FM. The licence was awarded to Kiss 105 which then became Galaxy Yorkshire. Big shout to all the original Dream FM dj's and helpers who made it happen.

a shout out to woody in pontefract every week especially the microdot show, ive got loads of tapes from this station all on mp3 now and some tapes they sold, techno and house, i fucking loved it

brilliant station , galaxy has of course now been bought out by southern commercial station crapitol fm and plays the same kiddie pop song and adverts 24-7 ... So i say bring back dream fm or let me know how to set up a station cos yorkshire know longer has great tunes to listen to :-(

Dream FM was fab back in the day, especially in the early days 91/92/93.

DREAM was the best pirate station at the time by far. Could pick it up easily from Huddersfield.

As for being a sothern c*nt well i'd rather be one of them all day long than be from the north...It's the dump of the uk up there what a dump the north is, you cant speak proper english up there all pikey talk, and half the people are chavs on the dole and you have people like devvo giving you an even better name...Yeah we all wish we were from the north it's so great we get to have gravey with everything.

The dream fm of london was way bigger than that pile of junk ask anyone in the know in the pirate scene and they will tell you dream fm of london was way bigger, infact them and kool fm were at the time the 2 biggest pirate stations in the uk (FACT)....Well you would think so countless tv documentry's about them along with magazines and countless raves at the likes of the old club labrthyn club rocket along with adrenalin village etc etc...Not knocking the leeds dream fm which will always be 2nd
