Is this world we live in full of double standards? What is right for one gender as a parent is not right for the other? Seems like many in society still live in the past. Some think that being a parent is mainly the mother's responsibility. Society seems to associate child care with women and not men. When you talk about baby sitting it is done mostly by women and it seems that people are less likely to trust a man caring for children than a woman. Is this a sexist world? Do men get a bad reputation due to the scumbags who are out there that do inappropriate things with women or children. It is not fair to pass this judgement on those who have sincere and good intentions. There are woman out there that are capable of doing the same good or bad things as any other human.

It gets on my nerves when people will look at a father in a funny way when he is playing with his kids outdoors. A father should enjoy his life and provide his kids with plenty of love and support. When people react in a rude way or make dirty looks it just makes you want to throw dirt in their faces and tell them to get a life.

Just when you think is it bad it even gets worse if the father's kids happen to be girls. Now we really get some attention from those who are so ignorant and prejudice. Even seems like the justice system tends to favor a woman caring for their kids over the man. This is what makes me sick over those who have custody issues with their children where the fathers get burned while the mothers get to enjoy their children. It is not fair for those who really want their children in their lives. Luckily in may case I was the exception and my kids are with me 24/7 but there are other fathers out there that want to be part of their kid's lives but the mothers of their kids keep them from that.

I am happy that I have moved into a better community about 2 years ago and I am surrounded by people who are much more civilized and friendly. My rants are based on my past experiences when I was living in that previous neighborhood and also by interactions with some ignorant people on the internet who have watched our family videos and think bad things about it.

Here is a phrase the annoys the hell out of me and it is from a cereal commercial. "Kid Tested Mother Approved" sure you know what brand cereal that is. I feel that this should include the approval of the father as well so how about "Kid Tested Parent Approved" Or lets turn the tables and say "Kid Tested Father Approved" makes better sense to me considering my situation.

My association with kids should be looked at in a positive way and those should respect the time and effort I put into making my kids happy and other kids in this community happy as well. I am a very involved parent and I am fully aware of everything that is going on in my kid's lives. I am a father and a friend and I am a great listener. Their friends have often told me they wish I was their dad so it only tells you how caring I am and it should never go unnoticed or taken the wrong way.

  • Man... You have a lot of insecurities. Ever thought about consulting a shrink instead of making videos?

  • @simonhoule It is not insecurities when people are very obvious about their unwelcoming behavior. Anyone could pick up on those kind of vibes from people. People have even spoken these prejudice remarks to their kids which in turn are found out by my kids then told to me.

  • is fun to walk through your house with a camera filming yourself? if you walk around with a camera here in my town they steal it from you

  • @walkkerzeth2 I don't think they would like the consequences of trying to steal a camera from me. I am used to the streets in Brooklyn NY been around Harlem, Jersey City, Trenton NJ, many other places with my video cameras and no one messes with me. I hope you have a body guard when walking around your town. Its sad that people would take advantage of another by stealing their camera.
