I think The Cure's influence comes through a little stronger on this on than most Xiu Xiu songs. But that's not to say it's in any way an imitation-- something I couldn't say for a lot of other bands. Xiu Xiu fills a special and unique niche in modern music, and I hope it stays that way.

You still haven't proven me wrong. Nobody I've seen on this board has been able to communicate with me on any level of theoretical terminology. You can tell me how the music makes you feel, and while I think it's great that you can connect with music, it's not at all what I'm talking about. I was trying to make a statement about the compositional qualities of the music, not whether I like or dislike it. You're listening, I'm listening and then analyzing; I have no interest in continuing this.
