Welcome to the twisted ballroom! This event, organised annually by Roxanne Yeganegy, is billed as a festival of imagination which never fails to raise the roof of central Leeds. The West Indian Centre played host to this year's gathering, which featured acts including the Dub Pistols and Utah Saints.

This video depicts Slamboree, a self styled "Neo-Balkan Rave Circus". I've thoroughly enjoyed filming them on several occasions now...the performance is always dynamic, energetic and highly entertaining. The song heard in this clip is their reinterpretation of Yann Tiersen's 'J'y Suis Jamais Alle', originally a lively rustic theme tune to the French film Amelie which sounds great with a bit of added bass. I don't have a clean copy of any on-scene audio so this clip is synchronised with a studio produced version from Mike Freear.

The video is available in high-def 720p so make sure to check it out at the highest resolution if your connection can handle it :-)
