At 2:06 The man with glasses has it so wrong. It was Darwinian theory that predicted man being a more genetically complex creature, & that is why scientist were surprised to find that we had only 20-30 thousand genes (depending on who you ask) while the lowly amoeba can have more genetic information & by orders of magnitude. Its called Cvalue Enigma & it showed that an organism complexity cannot be determined genetically, which is a blow to the Darwinian paradigm of simple to complex life.
Seriously. Post the rest of this. I'm coming from the RTB perspective, I've seen plenty of these debates, but regardless, it's a joke and I feel like I just wasted an hour of my time watching all of these not to see the end. Clearly Shermer is a rant artist and a king of ad homonym arguments, but at least I'd like to hear what he has to say. Go find the rest of the video and upload it even if (like I suspect) is more topic avoidance, side stories, and garbage.
Unfortunately, Michael Shermer blew it by going into a ranting diatribe, rather than responding on a scientific level to RTB's "testable model". So in reality no debate took place, which was a shame.
I would very much like to see the rest of this. Unlike the previous poster, I have no interest in seeing anyone get destroyed. I just want to weight the merits of each sides argument. That's only fair. I must say, however, that I don't think Shermer's arrogant posturing and toxic disrespect is helpful in drilling down to the real issues. He is a clever wordsmith, and obviously extremely intelligent. Of course, his behavior is typical of the new atheists.
