Family Terrorised by Welfare and Police

A young sydney family claims it's been terrorised by police and welfare authorities because of neigbourhood gossip. Mum and dad are in hiding tonight fearing their baby son will be taken away again.

Police broke down the front door of a suburban home with some workers from the NSW Department of Community Services. They're armed with an order to take a five month old boy from his now distraught parents, his father pushed around, his mother in tears.

It's understood only a few hours before Docs had been told by a neighbour that the child was being neglected, little more than skin and bones with sunken eyes.

The parents who have set up a webiste for their child deny the allegations and in any case insist this is the first time they have dealt with the Department, ever.

In a short statement police have told us that they were acting within the law and under the instruction of the Department of Community Sevices. Welfare workers intern say they had the best interest of the child at heart.

The baby is now back with his parents.

I hear you. However, just because their are a few lousy parents or a few lousy CPS workers does not make them right in targeting, labeling or questioning the integrity of a familiy. Thats where I draw the line and have to shut my door. Here is why. Every allegation or inquiry done by these agencies in their computer data bank. Its called fishing. Although the majority of allegations are UNFOUNDED. It is still a record on the child and parent. I call this "fishing". A means to justify their jobs.

Yup, agree with you. The genuine CPS people don't fish and often try and make notifications that aren't legitimate 'go away'. Bad parents, yes there are some, they reflect badly on the good parents. You aren't wrong bout fishing, and data mining. Incorrect information in these databases are Owells "Facts" for the future. But presently it's impossible to get these people to correct their errors and no one reads pages of files, just the first page - their page, not yours!

I have to wonder how many UFOUNDED reports are in those data bases. Its militant liberals. On the outside, warm and fuzzy. On the inside, enside and cold. The equivalent off a SS Nazi criminal. My inquiries into 1443 'cases' resulted in only ONE being case of genuine child abuse. 872 were 'divorce' manipulation cases, where no further action was taken. The rest were (emphasis on WERE) perfectly happy and normal families. In the one case, the child was being give heroine - as a joke.

This "news story" appears to have been handled by someone that may not be a journalist... While it may have been uploaded with the best of intentions - a few years ago, this type of incident truly does happen, all too frequently! Here in the US in particular!
