"Hillary, Oy! Hillary"
By Henry and Bobbie Shaffner
Performed by John Wallowitch
-- Press Release --
Songwriters Henry and Bobbie Shaffner of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania are rolling out a hilarious new alternative tune for the former First Lady inspired in part by the late comedian, Groucho Marx.
The Shaffners' song, "Hillary, Oy! Hillary," a parody of Groucho's immortal "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady," was recorded by John Wallowitch, one of the nations' leading cabaret performers.
-- Lyrics --
Hillary, O! Hillary, Say have you met Hillary
Hillary, a first-class lady.
Will she win, will she not?
Is she cold, is she hot?
D.C.'s buzzing about the lady.
Talk of the town,
Is she up? Is she down?
No one's betting against this charmer...
The G.O.P.'s frightful,
While Hil stays delightful
But wait! Here comes Obama!
La-la-la, la-la-la,
la-la-la, la-la-la
Hillary, O! Hillary, say have you met Hillary,
Hillary, a special lady,
a New Yorker at heart,
She's stylish and smart...
She looks like a first-class lady.
Chappaqua's in,
D.C. now is the spin
as she makes her way 'round the nation
She's great on the stump
Her opponent's a shlump
and Bill is "on vacation."
La-la-la, la-la-la,
la-la-la, la-la-la
Hillary, O! Hillary, say have you met Hillary,
Hillary, the perfect lady,
she's politically keen
tho' she'll never be mean
she was one heckuva first lady,
Chelsea and Hil,
and a fellow named Bill
are a family we've come to know
Now Hil is the star
on her own she'll go far,
and right now, she is the show.
La-la-la, la-la-la,
la-la-la, la-la-la
Hillary, O! Hillary, say have you met Hillary,
Hillary's a first-class lady.
