It would have worked a lot better if it was in a straight river or canal because the waves would only go length ways and not loose energy as the circles get bigger. But still, its fair to say 3 sticks wouldn't have done it

of course it want break.. its to deep, if it was shallow it might of breaked and been surfable.
It needs to be like 4feet deep

if they had undeep water, like 6-7 feet, then the shockwave would bounce back at the bodom creating a way bigger wave

its a quarry pond, unless fish have been introduced there will not be any, same for animals.
