This great video by Jason Dunlap documents the loss of one of Deep Ellum's greatest landmarks. While places like the Union Banker's building or the Sons of Hermann Hall may be historic landmarks, the Good Latimar tunnel was the most memorable.
I cried when I learned of what they did to the tunnel. I have been going to Deep Ellum since 1998 & lived there in 04 & 05. I have many great memories of that tunnel & am glad to have home videos of it. The ART in the tunnel was amazing!
damn what a shame, it's a good thing that they're running the dart train through deep ellum, i thik it could really help bring the area back to life

you would think that they would save this tunnel and it's art and preserve if for historical reasons.
