Me too, it was like watching part of my childhood being thrown in the bin. Now I know how steam enthusiasts must've felt. For me it's no different with the diesel era really. In the 70's, trainspotting and travelling around on a rail-rover ticket for two weeks at a time during school holidays was an awesome experience. The Midlands, the Western Region, ECML etc.... happy days. Thanks for posting this.

I'm really upset now! Seriously, this is very good. Where was Vic Berry's anyway? When I was a little girl I used to travel to Devon of 50's all the time and i adore the 37! Thanks for the memories. It was nice!

All trains going died scrapped, pretty sad isn't.

@ianbillericay , apart from being scrapped here, some came to have their asbestos removed befored before going into preservation, also some locomtives were actually sprayed/painted up here !. Hope that answers your question.
