Hi there!
Last night I went to see the Refugee All Stars in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and enjoyed it so much! I found out about their music through the movie Blood Diamond, which features one of their songs on the soundtrack. I bought both the dvd and the cd a while ago, and when I found out they came to Holland I was definately going to go. So, I loved it! Hope to see them again at some point.
How did you find out about the music?
Best wishes,
Wouter.

C'est si beau! Vive la musique!
P.s. I had a quick skim through your blog, and was pleasantly surprised to see you mention Shantaram and the Namesake! I totally enjoyed those books/film as well and can't wait to see Mira Nair's version with Johnny Depp!

Willow, glad you enjoyed.
Wouter, I agree, they were incredible. We saw Blood Diamonds (I guess you missed my review on my blog) and liked the music but didn't make the connection. But the movie and and the performance got good publicity in town and we decided to go. And very happy we did.
Glad you spent time on the blog; we seem to have some common tastes. Somehow I think Shantaram should be a tv series - it's too long for a movie. Steve
