instead of multitasking with so many useless programs, try with photoshop, illustrator, after effects, and final cut....

To swipe some misconceptions here, I'd love to tell you, that opening so much apps, won't actually eat up computer hardware, it will just use up physical and virtual memory, and your GPU and CPU will get bound irl whils you are actually using one active program.
If, you would be able to open this much applications that actually eat up CPU and GPU even when idle (try to extract 70 files at once, or run 70 3dmark test footage at once!

My Sony Vaio with 2ghz Intel Core 2 and 2gb Ram will outperform your computer with VISTA MAXED OUT. I use the same mac you use... at college. and my laptop rapes their 2.16ghz 2gb ram macs. (Which REALLY surprised me)
