Katumi dropped out of school when she was 13 to work as a street porter to earn money so she could return to school. She was unprepared for the violence and exploitation of life on the streets.

  • @pazsion I fully agree with you. However, most public schools today are funded well enough to offer a wide range of elective classes that are relevant to each student. At my high school we had classes for students who wanted to do pre-med, hotel management, art, cooking, journalism, etc. Notice I said "most public schools", so I understand if your situation greatly differs from mine.
