long hair is cool! :)

Your hair is absolutely beautiful and so are you :)

Very good advice!
Make your mistakes before they can matter.
Create a set of habits based on avoiding those mistakes.
The skills and opportunities will flow naturally from there.

My name is Don Q. And I approve of this hair assessment.

Another tip for your new camera: Use it as much as you can before you start traveling. Make all the mistakes you can, while it doesn't matter yet. It still happens to me that I fail to push the start/stop button hard enough, so that it doesn't stop until the moment I press it to start recording again (and then it stops), so that I end up recording the inside of the camera bag. :-)
Get to know the limits of your camera (such as in limited light, backlight, wind noise, etc)

Lish, no fair you got to stay tall and gorgeous and I got to stay short and shlumpy.
I'd perhaps cut another couple inches, about where you held it to show your split-free ends, and subtly angle up to the shorter, collarbone-length layers that are already there. However, I am currently madly growing out a regret, so my hair judgment may be impaired.
Can't wait to see more of your adventures!

Just for the record: I think your vlog is pretty cool.
Not awesome, but cool.
And with your new camera, nothing can prevent you from making some awesome videos in the future. Especially when you will be visiting Cyprus and Crete. And the library. I subscribed, so I can't miss them!

Hey, E., tried to leave a comment earlier, but wasn't logged in or something.
Anyway, so glad you've posted these! You are AMAZING on camera. Very impressed. Will look forward very much to future entries.
Would be interested to hear, in a video or in person the next time I see you, what you think of Zahi Hawass.

Yes, then you might need a bigger one (and more batteries!). I never record so much before I have the change to upload it on my laptop. Finding the time to edit is my bottleneck. An hour editing work per minute of video is not uncommon for me. (Still learning though).
Hair length suits you as far as I can tell. What's wrong with the memory card? I have a 4GB SD card in my video camera that works well. But it has to be a fast one (type 2 for mine). I forgot that when I bought a spare card - so that doesn't work in my camera.
Tips for accessories? Depends on your plans. A monopod for stability is very practical (it's like a tripod that misses 2 legs).

Its just that I'm planning on traveling and shooting a lot while doing so, so a memory card that only holds an hour of footage doesn't quite cut it. Probably need another battery while I'm at it, too.
