hi, what are the bags filled with--- can you post the ingredients?
also where did you get the bags?
-
Hey! Try a rocket mass heater, folks! When you're old, you won't have the strength to cut wood like that. Rocket mass heaters use TONS less wood and can heat up your house well.

Did this house ever get finished in the 2 years?

Haha the look on girl and dads faces @ 5:20, classic. Nice vid guys!

@ArdomeTV - I love deers, One of the most beautiful creature of GOD ! I am totaly against hunting and killing, this is evil and in my mind will always be no matter what . Hazzard to drivers ? well this is their land, so drive safe and slow where they are. This is God´s land and all animals deserve to live a happy free life as we do too with nature.

What are you filling the bags with again? earth off the ground, gravel...
-
hmm, i wonder about hemp-crete for earth bags i bet that would work really well.

It seemed like a great idea... until I saw that giant spider! 0_0'
I am considering building one of these homes next year myself but after seeing this video I think I need to consider the importance of location. Spiders I simply can not deal with! *shudder*

I live in Texarkana. We have some rural acreage and are thinking of building one of these to escape the house payment. We would love a tour and/or talk about your learning experiences while building this. How far have you gone, is it near completion? Great videos.

how long does earthbags home stays without cracks etc?
Some answers to your comments....
1-buring brush - we did use a propane yard dragon to burn off a small 20 ft square area to put our tent. We have chickens now that have taken care of the tick problem!
2-We are sharing our experience on building an earthbag home so we can help others and answer some of your questions along the way!
3-We burned and cleared some brush in the area where we are building our house. We have lots of trees and forest area on the remainder of our land.

I like all the videos but not the killing of the deer. They are gorgeous, sweet, friendly animals. You shall not kill. I am vegetarian, but if you are meat eater, there is supermarkets near your house for sure. Dont kill those beautiful animals anymore please.

@vanna4animals Deer is a natural organic meat. They will over-populate our area and are a big hazard for drivers here. Paul has been hunting all his life and has a great appreciation for wildlife. One deer has supplied a great meat source all winter! We have a high respect for animals and respect all the hunting laws!
