  • this is one of the best tutorials i've ever come across for rigging bones in poser. i do it with wings 3d with a lot more problems then u. i break everything up in materials. then sometimes i try to uv map in wings with their uv mapper or sometimes i just skip the uv mapping. i bone my figure like u and try to name everything with poser names but it gets messy. i wind up having to assign stuff with the grouping tool mainly because my group names get changed when exporting and importing to poser.

  • Aside from being really good, your videos are great in that when you're looking at the titles they're not just poser. Then you have to watch it to find it's the middle of a video you don't even know where it's at and there's another one. And they're not just 1 min cut off the last words.

Thanx for being so thoughtful with your video presentations and all. <3 Remie

  • how long have you been doing this..??

  • well done, i modeled a character on top of Aiko, chopped-grouped the same way, duplicated Aiko's CR2, opened it in wordpad deleted references to pmd files (some versions dont have that) changed the path to the OBJ so that it points to my obj. and i have an Aiko-compatible character, 4000 to 5000 polygons, so i may be able to make animations with 40 characters :) I did some rigging like you did in the past but it can get scary, thanks for the tutorial! next i'll re-assess the joint parameters.

  • Great tutorial, very very helpful.

  • Thank you for this!

  • Excellent work Phil! Setting up figures in Poser is one of the most confusing, drawn out processes compared to other 3D programs. But you've made it look easy. I usually use PHI files, mainly because I haven't had this tutorial till now.

I await your Joint Parameters tutorial eagerly!
