15 Days of Dance: The Making of Ghost Light, a film by Emmy-award-winning artist and filmmaker Elliot Caplan that was produced and developed at the University at Buffalo, premiered recently at Lincoln Center in New York City. The 18-hour documentary chronicles the creation of a ballet commissioned by UB's Center for the Moving Image (CMI) and choreographed by Brian Reeder for the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company. Ghost Light was commissioned as a as a gift from the City of Buffalo to the people of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Caplan is professor of media study and director of CMI, an interdisciplinary initiative of UB's College of Arts and Sciences and the colleges Department of Media Study.
