You look like that guy from the movie "Fargo."

Meyer, I used to rake and carry away the leaves at my Mothers. A tiny back garden would fill 50 bags alone and mean 6 trips to my compost in my S10. I realized, after a while that it was much better to simply rake the leaves right into the truck bed, no bags. With a rigid box cover I could compress the load. MUCH less work. Also, your trouble with the chipper is overloading. If you shoveled the leaves right from the truck bed into the chute it would be easier, for you & the machine.Just thinking

Those are not just leaves. To a gardener, that is "GOLD"!!

instead of loosing all that material on the ground, why not bag it & save it for another time? personally, I would make it into leaf logs & give them to my neighbors, for burning in their fireplaces

Is there any way to shred leaves without a shredder or a lawn mower?
I lost a lot of my hearing because of these things. I wear hearing protection now to preserve what I have left. Also, the leaves go down a lot smoother if you use car wax in the chute to make it more slippery.
