Singer Mario Arrested For Assaulting Mom

R&B star Mario was arrested for alledgedly assaulting his own mother, Shawntia Hardaway.

R&B STAR MARIO WAS ARRESTED EARLY THIS MORNING IN BALTIMORE FOR ALLEGEDLY ASSAULTING HIS OWN MOTHER.

SHAWNTIA HARDAWAY CALLED POLICE TO REPORT THAT THE FORMER "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CONTESTANT WAS --QUOTE- "THROWING AND DAMAGING PROPERTY."

POLICE TELL CELEBTV THAT WHEN THEY ENTERED THE APARTMENT MARIO AND HIS MOTHER SHARE, COPS FOUND BROKEN GLASS, A DAMAGED CHINA CABINET AND A HOLE IN A CLOSET DOOR.

COPS ALSO SAY WHEN THEY ASKED HARDAWAY IF SHE FEARED FOR HER LIFE, SHE REPLIED "YES" AND TOLD THEM HER SON ATTACKED HER EARLIER IN THE WEEK, PUSHING HER "EIGHT FEET INTO A LIVING ROOM WALL."

IT'S NOT THE FIRST TROUBLE FOR MARIO AND HIS MOM-- HER ADDICTION TO HEROIN AND HIS ATTEMPT TO GET HER SOBER WAS THE SUBJECT OF A 2007 MTV DOCUMENTARY.
