Is this still operational for the summer of 2010?
Can we get specific instructions on where to go after taking EXIT 2 off the Pike? And where is the best place to park?

Can someone confirm if this place is still operational for the summer of 2010?
Additionally, there has been talk of cops and a new way to enter this jumpoff - can we get specific instructions on where to go after taking EXIT 2 off of masspike?
-
YAY- the quarry! wish it were summer..
p.s. it's actually in west stockbridge, not gb.

Alright guys, I will get more info up on this soon, but as of now cops are patrolling the area. The owners of the quarry are ALLOWING people in for 5 bucks, but that includes a zip-line over the river. They are trying to build a bridge. The reason for the cops, is because the site listed tells you to park on a road, and the electric company there is anoyyed by the people that park there. So there is another way in, and as soon as the lady tells me the info, i will let you all know
Great Barrington is in MA, Exit 2 on masspike. (MASS- PIKE ?) and we did encounter a cop who said it was trespassing but then we found out that it just was a private property and the nice lady offered a zipline for 5 bucks to let you in.

Did you guys have any problems getting into the place? The site you linked says that there is an officer poseted there now to keep people out.

Yes sir, a cop told us not to go, but its a private property and the lady let you in but she kinda charges 5 bucks per person but that gives you the comfort of using a zip line to cross the river instead of swimming across the current. ;)
