I alsowould like to comment that I find it disturbing that the prime minister, media advocates and so many other spokes persons have come out to declare that they found these works to involve sexual activity at all. I would seriously prefer to examine the thoughts, tendencies, backgrounds and actions of these people rather than the two artists in question. So what about the statue of david? or many or leonardo da vinci's nudes? all of which contain naked children. he used real life models too!!!

I would like to ask the Prime Minister if he finds images of naked adolescent Aborigines in ancient tribal rituals to be pornographic? In some opinions it maybe child porn and in others it may be art. You know the human body is known as a popular art piece and has been painted over and over for centuries.

If you look back into the history of the art world, you will find that it has always been run and controlled by rich powerful perverts. Andy Warhol, Lewis Carrol (the guy who wrote Alice In Wonderland took photos of naked underaged girls), Oscar Wilde etc..... This is why it's unfortunateky very hard to prosecute people like bill Henson, because he has rich powerful friends in high up places.

The arty farties keep claiming it's art because of the great photography and lighting. But the issue here is not lighting or photography. The issue here is that naked underaged kids are being used. Why do they want to use under aged kids in their photos? Why not just take the same sort of photos with someone over 18?

Yes, we don't need to wait a long time when all the sacred paintings of Botticelli, Raffael, Lochner ... depicting the adult Madonna with the naked little Jesus will be banned and forbidden. Such police acts as that against Bill Henson are the beginning of the total abolishment of our freedom of speech!

Children rely upon adults to protect them, they trust adults to make choices for them which are responsible and consider the child's life ahead.

This isn't about porn or art, it's about the exploitation of children by adults, therefore it's about betrayal of trust which in itself is abuse, child abuse.

This is morally wrong, no child of its own volition would ever choose to remove its clothing to be photographed, this would only result through the coercion of disturbed or exploitative adults
