  • Doesnt look like a Jardine system. Looks more like Micron or Sato, but Sato doesnt make any rainbow ti pipes that I know of.

  • It's Jardine, Micron and Sato don't make 2-1 systems. The pipe also wasn't "Rainbow" it was bare titanium with a lot of heat discolouration.

  • Why is there so much flex response on muffler? Is this a personal install? Sounds great! BTW

  • The exhaust hanger isn't on as I was repainting it, that's why the pipe is moving. I took it all apart and heatwrapped it just after this video.

  • whats the differance between sp1 & sp2?

  • novantii you're an idiot. I'd take an RC51 over ANY duke.

Ducati's are for the posers, real italian lovers get MV's or Aprilia's. Italian lovers on big pay cheques get Bimota.

RC51 = Future classic and sound like sex.

  • @woodyate Small differences, different throttle bodies, SP2 has a braced and more rigid swingarm, lighter 5 (6 on SP1) spoke wheels on the SP2, better fuel injection on SP2, more HP on SP2.

  • That's the sound I love the most, I put over 39000 hard fast miles on mine, j- town

  • @yzf0pyerat You sir an absolute idiot for saying Ducatis are for posers. I do however agree that RC51s>>>>>>Duke and that MVs and Aprilias are awesome. But you must remember Ducati came before both MV and Aprilia. So the real race history is in Ducati. Some rich old bastards who have never ridden before may get a Ducati for a first bike cuz there noobs and feel cool, but true motorcyclists know what Ducati's are all about. Other then that, my rant is over. :)

  • Both Fuel injected. SP2 has better throttle control by I think 12 vs 4 laser drilled injection holes in Throttlebody. Also swingarm is i think around 20-23mm longer. Exact number and length escapes me. Have 2001 SP1, and the throttle is a bit on/off, and hear SP2 is little more velvety.

  • Ya.. explains why I chose the RC51 over 999. Thought about the 1098, ONLY because they reduced the pile of money you have to keep dropping to maintain them. ya.. fine bike.. if you can afford the upkeep.

  • the difference between the sp-1 and the sp-2 is the sp-2 has a stronger redesigned swingarm and improvements to the fuel injection bodies (they are both fuel injected though.. no carbs)

I know because I have an SP-1 and almost bought an sp-2 (couldn't find one cheap enough though)

  • someone said EFI was the differance?I've seen them race side by side and the sp2 was perfered slightly, I have a vtr and a rc 51 engine imna graft thats why I ask, thanks

  • both the same...diff only sp2 got 2 radiator...

  • As far as I know, the SP1 is carbureted and the SP2 has fuel injection. I'm sure there are other differences that I'm not familiar with though.
