  • Sullengirl, have you ever thought of becoming a counselor/therapist? It seems like you know SO much more than any mental health professional I've talked to about self injury. The stuff you say seems to help a lot more because of your experience and less pushy approach.

  • I have considered some kind of social work - my ultimate goal is starting some kind of organization or center, and maybe speaking (if I can overcome my anxiety) to kids and teens... I am already almost 25, so going to school to be a therapist seems almost daunting because of the cost/years but social work is definitely something I want to pursue :) Thank you for the support & encouragement in that, there is a lack of knowledgeable, understanding people out there, I know!

  • @xsullengirlx, I've noticed that a lot of people on Youtube start their videos or first or second sentence with the word "so"? Why is that?

  • While I am not a mind reader, maybe it's due to the fact that they are continuing from an older video, or connecting thoughts/sentences together? Or maybe it's a crutch word like "um", "uh" or "like". Take your pick ;) Sorry if it bothers you.

  • Hey thanks for this video! Happy Holidays! also I was just wondering if you have heard all this news about Alyssa Bustamante? and how she suffers from depression and cutting and self mutilation? and she killed her sisters 9 year old playmate to see what it felt like? was just wondering what you thought about it? and maybe you could even make a video on youtube to post about it since it deals with exactly what you speak about here and what alot of younger people are dealing with? thanks alot!

  • Happy Holidays to you too! I haven't heard of this case. I will look it up ASAP and if I feel it worth commenting on (which I probably will since I have an opinion on everything! haha) I will make a video! Thanks for letting me know about it, I appreciate that.

  • a good strategy for me is to write or draw about how u feel. your videos are really helpful.

  • Excersise helps a lot. Letting someone I trust know I need them has saved me though.

  • when I want to self injur or feel like im mad and want to hurt some one else I go running with my dogs =3 or some times I go by my self.

  • What makes me so mad about this is that I've tried everything, things you think are good and bad and I still can't control it. :/

  • Hehe, weird thing is, I dont feel the icecube when I'm angry etc, I usually carve something in my table xD I do not listen to music since it seems to trigger it sometimes. That's what I do... haha.

  • You have a very mature and intelligent perspective on this issue. I hope everyone dealing with these issues finds this video and follows your advice for recovery. Being aware of triggers and having a well thought out plan in advance for when these moments happen is very important and solid advice. A lot of brilliant people suffering from self injury have learned to channel that potentially destructive energy into some creative and beautiful manifestations.

I hope not. I noticed JaneyFromKorea's channel disappeared. I hope nothing happened to her.

Then you 'feel' the urge to self-harm. You should follow that feeling and self-harm. Alot.

  • @theboombody

    She's dead now you know.

A kid at my school punched a wall but it went through and killed his brother and two cats.
