1:57 - Juror Jennifer Ford said that the death heavily penalty affected her decision (see my other video). Either she misunderstood, couldn't follow instructions or was not properly instructed. A standard line in jury instructions is, "YOU MUST REACH YOUR VERDICT WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION OF PUNISHMENT." If the jury voted Not Guilty because they thought she might die, that's a violation.

Did Judge Perry give bad instructions? He did make a questionable decision during jury selection. The prosecution tried several times to dismiss Juror #4 based on her statement that she didn't want to judge anyone. The defense fought hard to keep her. The judge ruled for the defense, based on the Batson rule, which states that someone can't be dismissed based on race alone. HUH?! It had nothing to do with race! She didn't want to judge anyone and a trial is ALL about judging defendants and witnesses! Bad decision.

I agree with analyst Jeffrey Tubin that it would be unfair to make Casey Anthony pay if no other defendant ever had to pay. However, Marsha Clarke (prosecutor of OJ Simpson) points out that in California, at least, defendants must reimburse the state if certain criteria are met.

  • Three words... Beyond Reasonable Doubt

Whether she did it or not, Ford is right, if you don't know what the actual crime was murder/manslaughter/negligence how can you convict.

Ford is correct? Do some research. She said that murder and the death penalty were too harsh but that she would have convicted on manslaughter. Using your logic, she would not have been willing to convict Casey of anything, yet she was willing to go for manslaughter. Don't put your logic or words in Ford's mouth. I had no REASONABLE doubt.

  • Jurror #3 - obviously not a mother. I'm surprised she wasn't wearing her aluminum hat - after all, MARTIANS might have killed Caylee. She better find another career since nursing requires intelligence and common sense.

  • The judge explained REASONABLE DOUBT but then Jose immediately confused them by stating that beyond reasonable doubt meant any possibility of ANY DOUBT AT ALL.

Plus they all bought the line Casey was this phenomenal mother because she "played nicely" with Caylee in the ONE video and because Caylee was fed, clean, nicely clothed and had a nice bedroom and a playhouse in the yard. Fact IS Casey provided NONE of those things, her parents did. But, the entire family told so many lies it stunk!

  • Its funny how "reasonable doubt" only seems to really apply to the rich, famous, and beautiful. How many people are in prison now that had some "reasonable doubt" but also had a state appointed attorney?

  • @nicksfan1

    Are you a retard?

Do YOU know what reasonable doubt means idiot!?

Evidence has to do with many factors, not ONLY how she killed her, but that evidence leads to the NEGLIGENCE.., which was one of the charges.

They could of found her guilty of the lessor charges, not innocent on all shows this jury didn't understand the law, or their responsibilities.

    You people are complete retards!

  • GEORGE to CASEY: "I have a great idea. Since she drowned and it would be too hard to explain an accident, let's toss her in the swamp and make it look like murder."

  • @k3w1b3an5 This is a very complicated case. You know, a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous. And, uh, a lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

  • @m4r71jn Obviously the basic rules of our judicial system are a bit too much for you to comprehend bro. If the prosecution has no physical evidence, no motive, no eye witness, and no cause of death, that person should never be convicted of murder.

  • The magic drowning theory went out of the window the moment the bullshit abuse theory hit a brick wall.

  • @k3w1b3an5 Haha yeah 100% sure but still holding on to that last "the Martians did it" straw bro?

  • @k3w1b3an5 Atleast Scott Peterson reported his wife missing Mr. Ignorant.

  • @skattahthoughtz13 Amen brother _0_
