I heard it was a more of requirement for Roy Rogers. It was the only way he would agree to do the episode. He wasn't being a diva, but he was pretty old school and he was extremely uncomfortable doing scenes with Carter in only her"bathing suit"

@batmanlooksgood It comes from the episode "The Bushwackers" of the ABC series (the series set in the WWII).
It was Roy Rogers, one of the guest actor, to suggest to let Wonder Woman to use a uniform with pants and not her "classical" swimsuit.
This kind of uniform has never been used again but I believe that its use has had long term consequences since in the CBS series Wonder Woman has been seen with other kinds of uniforms (expecially the blue bodysuit).
