FUKIEN TEA IS A HEDGE TYPE PLANT FROM CHINA AND THE ORIENT. THEY HAVE TINY WHITE FLOWERS AND ARE VERY EASY TO PROPIGATE. tHEY DEVELOPE GRANRLY TRUNKS AND GRANCHES AND ARE COMMONLY SEEN AS BONSAI.
IN THIS VIDEO, I DECIDE TO MAKE A SLANTY STEM UPRIGHT, AND REPOT THE TREE AFTER WHICH I GIVE IT A QUICK TRIMMING BY DIRECTIONAL PRUNING. SEE PARTS ONE AND TWO OF THIS SERIES TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SHPAGNUM MOSS AND THIS NEW AND EASY TECHNIQUE FOR RAISING BONSAI.(May, 2008- showing traditional bonsai at the Morikami Museum. It's just a silent look at their trees, but it is inspiring)("Morikami Bonsai Gardens May 2008").(***PLEASE VIEW PART 12 ABOUT THE WARNING ON HANDLING SPHAGNUM MOSS BEFORE YOU WORK WITH SPHAGNUM MOSS***).

  • Jermeynor- There are many ways to do things. If you don't like his method, don't use it. Clearly it works for him, and that is why his is sharing the method.

  • Thank you for understanding. And taking the time to write.

  • Don't listen to Jeremy, your videos have helped me get started so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and thanks for keeping bonsai alive. Give me 20 years and I hope I am as good as you.

  • Thanks for posting these videos. I switched over to this method about 3 months ago after I watched your first video. The results are amazing, my boxwoods are growing twice as fast as they were growing in Kittydama.

Are you selling any of your rooted Fukien tea cuttings? I'm having an extremely hard time finding Fukien tea where I live.

  • Hey Jerry! I am only on this seventh installment, but I am already addicted to the series! I will be getting a couple Ficus neriifolia for my birthday next month and I plan to use sphagnum as the medium after hearing your results and the comments left here! I just wanted to say that I really like fukien teas and that this was a very entertaining episode with the bloody hand and the entailing references...I laughed out loud and learned at the same time. Thank you.
