Maddow is spot-on here. Palin's "folksiness" came across as forced and abrasive. But, I guess, when you don't have foreign and domestic policy knowledge and are clearly out of your depth, you have to come up with a gimmick to sell yourself. Luckily for the country, not enough voters are buying that crap.
