Election Day is coming soon its that time again
Politicians are out on the street they want to be my friend
I expect Ill vote like I did last time, that is to say I passed
If you want to know just why that is, frankly I cant be arsed

Give me someone whos worth voting for and maybe Ill get out of bed
Someone who dont make promises they never seem to keep
If you took it all too seriously youd just break down and weep

NO MATTER WHO I VOTE FOR THE GOVERNMENT ALWAYS GETS IN

Don't think I dont appreciate the freedom of choice Ive got
But Ive seen all your politicians and Im fed up with the bloody lot
You cant tell the difference anymore between one side and the other
And for the lesser of two evils nah! I dont think Ill bother

Dont take away my rights though or Ill be the first to complain
Lets just say Im exercising my right to abstain
I dont like none of the above the whole things just a farce
I guess that I could spoil my vote but nah! I cant be arsed

Whoopee! Im so excited theyre canvassing for my vote
Spin doctors are all trying to ram their slogans down my throat
They want me to go into that booth and sign my X like a kiss
Well listen up here Buddy why dont you kiss this?

Whod be a politician eh and suffer so much abuse
It must be like being an artist; sometimes you wonder whats the use
You work so hard for little reward its such a thankless task
So if you think Im gonna finish this song, nah.!
