hey im muslim and this explanation was good. muslims also wear hats or caps optionally, but especially during prayer. the physical thing does affect the soul, and it does add to my awareness of God. also in public i feel that im representing God's religion in front of other people so i try to stay away from sins even more. salam

Rabbi, I am a christian and I find myself to believe in the Judaism religion and in Jesus as the Savior. You stated that the kippah shows fear of God. So can christians wear a kippah if they fear God? I got one, but my dad took it because he says that it is only for the Jews. Again, I am christian. Can christians wear the kippah? God Bless and when I wore my kippah, it brought me closer to God (the little time I had it). Shalom!

So what is the difference btw Jewish kippot and the Musilm head cover, I only see the difference is: the musilm one seems to be slightly bigger than the Jewish one.

Ronen I am Jewish (ethnically) and I really appreciate your videos you 've really help me get back to my faith.

Ronennachman770, if you feel Jewish but have not formally converted, can you where a kippah?

@charronfamilyconnect the pope doesnt wear a kippah. it has a completely different name and a different purpose. in catholicism it is a hierarchal symbol meaning he has a higher position than the abbot or the bishop. also the kippah has nothing to do with saturn worship. that would be idol worship and is a chillul hashem...

@TheEcumenator as you are a non jew i would ask that you not wear one. other than support israel rallys,or counter protest aginst israel. and the reason is that if your in a kippa in a non kosker restarant eating a cheesse burger or turkey and bacon on wheat it makes it look like a jew breaking kosher lawsor ppl see you out driving fri nite with it on your head it looks like a jew who doesn't keep the saboth holy .so in short it may not be a sin to wear one,but it gives religous jew a bad look
A kippah? I don't see how that's possible. People buy ones with different writings on them or pictures. Or even an image of their favorite baseball team.
It's just like another article of clothing. If you want to use yours to send a political message, I'm sure you'll find a way. Otherwise, it's just another way to express yourself.

Can Gentiles wear a kippah?
Even if he believes in God?

As far as Jewish law is concerned, of course there would be nothing wrong with a non-Jew covering his hair.
If you're asking about non-Jewish law, I'm definitely not well versed enough on that subject to give you an answer.

So would it be something in respect for God?
Because as a Christian, i really find the kippah interesting and i would like to use it as a symbol for Yahweh our God.
God bless

If the intent is to remind you there is a G-d above you, I can't see anything wrong with that.
