Clever 60' or 70' clock mechanism
This is a Philips type HR5272 alarm clock.
One wheel have 5 flip-over cards with the minutes.
0-5, 1-6, 2-7, 3-8, 4-9
After number 9 he turns a 10 minutes 6 segment normal wheel.
After number 59 he turns a wheel with 6 flip-over cards with the hours.
1-7, 2-8, 3-9, 4-10, 5-11, 6-12
This mechanism makes less noise than a normal flip-over clock and the mechanism is more simple

  • is sooo weird

  • does anyone know where to get a new synchrone motor for these mouvements?

    Telechron of USA or GE 51 HNK M3634 3,6 RPM 50-C 727

  • We actualy have the GE/Telechron model of this with the knob on the LEFT side of it to adjust the time and alarm!!!

  • Mechanism looks almost identical to my GE model 8125.

  • Awesome design 5*

  • I've got an old General Electric (GE) alarm clock that uses that exact mechanism. It still works!

  • My wife and I found one of these clocks in an old GE clock radio and built something out of it. . . I'll tell you, never try to take the actual clock apart, it is a pain in the ass to put back together.

  • That IS clever
