On March 1, 2010, OC Transpo Bus Driver 7990 was informed he was unsuitable for ongoing employment with the City of Ottawa and his employment was terminated. We understand there were no complaints of any kind against operator 7990 prior to his becoming the target of workplace harassment in the middle of February 2010. It appears OC Transpo felt it was easier to terminate a probationary employee with an excellent customer service oriented attitude, not to mention exceptional driving skills, rather than properly manage and resolve the workplace harassment. Shame on OC Transpo for taking the easy way out. There are many OC Transpo customers who appreciate Mr. Roulston's work ethic and we would like to see him back behind the wheel of a bus and providing the City of Ottawa with the exception service he is well known to provide.

  • u for real ... tell me how ill get the money and ill consider it ...

  • @DevaSaar we can send you a check, care of the OC Transpo HQ. Your challenge will be to find another employer who terminated 7990. We asked him for a copy of his resume and he provided it. We also asked about previous terminations, and he answered that question also. There are none.

  • @steveaustin71 all we know is there are people who have been convicted of pirating in Canada for doing precisely what 7990 observed in the OC Transpo drivers lounges. They spent time in jail and faced a very large fine.

  • @Teachering Please explain further what you mean regarding public demand & political correctness.

  • @steveaustin71 no charges? I'll have to ask 7990 about that as at one point he was considering pressing assault charges against the person who assaulted him.

  • @steveaustin71 Since you have not worked at OC Transpo, you can't begin to imaging the rumour machine they have there. The rumours about 7990 were so bizarre they were impossible. There were rumours about events that just could not have happened, unless 7990 worked 24 hours a day and could be in three different places at the same time. More amazing is how fast the new rumours were believed and spread.

  • @steveaustin71 actually, 7990 was only hated by a very small number of small minded OC Transpo drivers. We have even spoken with a few who really were happy 7990 stepped forward, just sad the small minded drivers had the power to have him released from employment. For a moment, they say, there was light at the end of the tunnel. What are we doing? We hope to shine even light upon the drivers who make being a passenger very unpleasant.

  • @wesupport7990 Well thats good news! I'm betting however that the union folks don't cooperate with that particular announcement... aaannyyway, not real sure what you think you are accomplishing with this whole thing, fact is, the guy made himself hated by most of his coworkers, got dismissed, and you are, based on HIS information, saying that 100's of people are lying about him. Ask yourself why he would have such opposition? and if his identity ever gets linked to this page? prolly not good.

  • @steveaustin71 funny you should mention the pay at OC. 7990 now has a Mon-Fri day job that pays better than OC did. We often ask him why he ever wanted to work at OC. He never has an answer. :)
