#10 Nebraska (9-1) coached by the legend Tom Osborne traveled to Norman for the first Big Red Battle of the 90s. OU, coached by Gary Gibbs, and led by quarterback Cale Gundy would romp Nebraska 45-10. It would actually turn out to be OU's final victory over the Huskers till 2000. The starting quarterbacks for both teams would suffered game ending injuries, but this one would never be in doubt. Most say that this game, and the 1993 Texas win, are Gary Gibbs shining moments while at the helm of the Sooners.

@SoonerSam08 Nebraska does get particularly asshurt when they get their asses whooped, considering the fact that Tom Osborne was notorious for running it up.

Thats always bugged me about Tim Brandts comment at the end when Lashar kicked the field goal. He became the all time leader at OU for points for a kicker with that kick. OU wasnt trying to rub it in. I'll agree you can look at Quentin Griffin not going back into the Rose Bowl to break Billy Sims record but c'mon, its Senior Day, the guy struggled all year, and OU wasnt going to a bowl. Let him kick it, Osborne wasnt upset about it after the game. Everyone's happy...well except for Brandt!
