By series do you mean sets? If so experiment. You don't want excessive fatigue as it will increase required recovery time. So don't work to burn out. On each set you want at least one more rep in the tank. I'd say three sets, five sets maximum. Lots of rest too, it is when you're resting the growth takes place. So don't work the same exercise for at least two days. So think Monday then Thursday or Tuesday then Friday for a split. Good luck.

Chin ups with palms facing you works more overall back muscle. Wider grip chin ups with with palms away will help isolate the lats more which contribute most to that V-Shape. Shoot for sets of 8-10 at most 12 reps. Then start adding weight. Any more reps and you move towards endurance and away from muscle building. Do lat stretches after your last set. Stretching after helps muscles grow in size faster. Good luck with your training.

@tinyelvis10 Shirtless because its hot. Mirror to make sure the form is correct and the bandana to avoid sweat getting into the eyes.
