I review House of Dracula as part 6 of my 14 part horror movie review series, Kevrock's 14 days of horror. It's short and sweet. I find it hard to believe this film was nominated for an award, good film but boy, is it confusing.

  • What are you talkin' about, THREE House movies?? There was only House of Dracula and House of Frankenstein. Don't be a dumb kid....

  • Once the Wolfman was cured, Lon Chaney Jr. was out of a job (except for Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein).

  • @BigBastard67 There IS a movie... Just look at wikipedia.

  • I don't like the House movies because in Dracula the monster does nothing and in Frankenstein Dracula does nothing! Haven't seen House of the Wolfman.

BRW, you're young but you really know what you're talking about.

  • @BigBastard67 Wrong they do hav ea film called House of the Wolfman, in continuity with these movies but made by an independant company.

  • My impression was the Dracula was after Eldelmann's nurse, and used his "wanting to be cured" as an excuse to be close to her. When he felt the doctor knew too much, he contaminated his blood, possibly in an attempt to make him his servant, similar to Renfield. But with Dracula dead, the mad doctor is free to work on his own. That was my view anyway.

  • Dracula doesn't actually wants to be cured, he was just trying to get close to Dr. Edelmann's female assistant, and turn her into his new bride. It even says so on the back of the vhs.

Nice little review. I actually like HOD more than HOF.

  • Dr. Adelman tried to "cure" the monsters with science. As usual, just as J. Carrol Naish's hunchback character, the lady hunchback gets the short end of the stick..

  • Dracula was only at Edelman's because he wanted one of his assistants (whom he met earlier) and was never genuine about recieving treatment from Edelman. You are right about Carradine. I like him, but not as Dracula!
